Community Participation

The primary purpose of the Chattahoochee Riverway project is to serve as a catalyst for creating a vision of what the river could be. A series of public meetings and workshops were held over a five month period to give local stakeholders an opportunity to participate in the decision making process. A workshop held in August generated a series of design concepts, and these concepts were finalized and presented at a public meeting in November. Other meetings and workshops are expected to be conducted over the next few years as the process continues.
